As a marketing executive for K12 Data and other startups in Silicon Valley, I have two decades of marketing and sales experience, but I’m still relatively new to the edtech sector.  Here are five takeaways from a fascinating week at South By Southwest Education 2014 in Austin.

1) Edtech drinking games with “personalization” and “adaptive” triggers have become dangerous!
