Dr. Jennifer House of RedRock Reports delivers an insightful and highly timely webinar on the K-12 district funding. School suppliers, vendors and publishers can easily make use of these funding information to position your products to schools which have the available money. This is especially important as we head toward the June 30th use-it-or-lose-it date for many educational funding opportunities.

Jenny provides an overview of various federal funds, these include the Title I, IDEA Part B, School Improvement, Migrant Ed, Impact Aid, Title II – Teacher Quality, Title III – ELL, Career and Technical Ed and Homeless Students. She highlights the available money from ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) that most people are not aware still exists. She also elaborates on the different state initiatives in California (CA), New York (NY), Alaska (AK), North Dakota (ND) and Texas (TX).

Jenny walks us through the projections for President Obama’s 2016 Budget. The education budget is projected to be $70.5B – a 5.4% increase over 2015. It is expected there will be a $2.7B increase in Title I funding and $175M increase for IDEA, Part B, and $115 for Part C.

Most importantly: Jenny drops hints on the different funds that most schools don’t even know they have, and thus, the school suppliers and vendors should catch on these opportunities as quickly as possible.
